Dr Pepper* Ultimate Chill Zone Contest

The Dr Pepper Ultimate Chill Zone contest commences 12:00:01 pm ET on January 14, 2010 and ends 11:59:59 am ET on March 29, 2010.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The contest is open to all legal residents of Canada who are 13 years of age or older.
O ENTER WITH PURCHASE: During the Contest Period, obtain a unique Personal Identification Number (“PIN”) imprinted under the cap of specially-marked 591 ml bottles of Dr Pepper* or Diet Dr Pepper* soft drinks (the “Participating Product”). While supplies last.

There are two (2) ways to play:

1. online
2. from your mobile device, using Text Messaging (the “Text”) plus online registration

Online: Complete the online registration form in full and enter your PIN, following all online instructions. If you are a potential winner of an Instant Win Prize, you will receive an on screen message identifying the Prize you are eligible to win (provided you comply with these contest rules).

You may then proceed to build your Ultimate Chill Zone (the “Chill Zone”) (i.e add items to your potential Grand Prize – see Rule 4 below). Each PIN played will automatically be entered into the Grand Prize draw.

Mobile Device: Send a text message with the PIN code obtained from a Participating Product or by mail (see below) to the short code “PEPPER” from your mobile device. NOTE: Text messaging fees may apply depending on the entrant’s mobile device carrier and text messaging package and are the responsibility of the entrant/account holder. By sending a text message to short code “PEPPER” the entrant acknowledges that he/she understands and consents to the Contest Rules. Entrant must be the person in whose name the mobile device account for the mobile device used to enter the contest via text message is registered (the “Mobile Account Holder”) or have the express permission of the Mobile Account Holder. Entries made via text message without the permission of the Mobile Account Holder may be disqualified, at the sole and absolute discretion of the Contest Sponsor. Once a PIN has been submitted by text, you will receive a reply message advising whether or not your PIN has resulted as a potential winner of an Instant Win Prize.

Entrants who enter the contest using their mobile device must go to online and register using the mobile device number associated with the mobile device originally used to enter the contest. The registration process is complete when all mandatory fields are completed and entrant has linked the original mobile device number to their online registration form. Any Instant Win Prize won and any points accumulated will remain on hold in the entrant’s Chill Zone account until the entrant registers fully online. However, failure by a text message entrant to fully register online within seven (7) days after submission of the PIN will result in disentitlement to any potential Instant Win Prize associated with that entry. Instant Win Prizes cannot be won or claimed and PINs cannot be submitted into the Grand Prize draw until entrant registers online in accordance with these contest rules.

Once the entrant fully registers online, his/her PIN is automatically entered into the Grand Prize draw and the entrant can view his/her Chill Zone account showing PINs played, total points accumulated, any Instant Win Prizes won and total PINS submitted into the Grand Prize draw. Entrant can then continue to make Chill Zone item selections, as described below.

Each PIN obtained during the Contest Period is worth 500 points. The entrant may use these points towards the acquisition of the 14 available Chill Zone items (items and required points per item more specifically outlined in Rule 4 below) to fill the entrant’s Chill Zone. Once an entrant has acquired and placed one of each available item into his/her Chill Zone, his/her Chill Zone will be considered complete for Grand Prize draw purposes and PINS will no longer have a point value. Entrants may continue to enter additional PINs for chances to win an Instant Win Prize and the Grand Prize Draw.

The more points an entrant acquires during the Contest Period, the more items, subject to the maximum of 14 items, he/she can add to his/her Chill Zone. In order to acquire Chill Zone items with larger point values, entrants can accumulate their points by saving them in their Chill Zone accounts, to be used at a later time during the Contest Period.

Tell-a-Friend: Entrants may also obtain an additional one hundred (100) points per friend, for every friend they tell about the contest during the Contest Period, to a maximum of ten (10) friends (1,000 points maximum). Entrants can tell-a-friend by sending a pre-scripted email to each friend. The Tell-A-Friend component is only available to registered entrants who are logged in online.

REPEAT ENTRANTS may bypass the contest registration process by using their email address and their password and then follow all online instructions.

No Purchase Entry: To obtain an entry without making a purchase, handwrite your name, age, full mailing address and email address on a piece of paper (not exceeding 8.5” by 11”) and mail it to: Dr Pepper Ultimate Chill Zone Contest, c/o TraffikGroup, 489 College Street, Suite 500, Toronto, ON M6G 1A5. You will receive one unique PIN for contest entry by email, while supplies last. Each no purchase PIN request must be mailed in a separate envelope and must be received on or before March 23, 2010.

Each entry into the contest must be made with a new and unique PIN legitimately obtained in accordance with these contest rules. Potential winners may be required to submit their product cap, and/or original PIN reply email (for no purchase necessary) with PIN matching winning contest entry in order to be awarded a prize. Each unique PIN can only be entered once during the contest period.

Entrants may only use one email address and/or mobile phone number to enter. Entries generated by script, macro, robotic, programmed, or any other automated means are prohibited and will be disqualified.

By entering this contest, participants agree to be bound by these contest rules and the decisions of the Contest Sponsor and contest judges.

PRIZES
Grand Prize: There is one (1) Grand Prize available to be won that will consist of the items that the selected potential winning entrant has placed into his/her online Chill Zone during the Contest Period. There are 14 available items that can be placed into an entrant’s Chill Zone, and each item can only be placed into the Chill Zone once. PINs have no cash surrender value nor may they be used for any purpose other than as specified in these contest rules.

raccoon, when you said you emailed for your codes, did you mean you snail mailed your request and then received your PIN back by email? I couldn't see where in the rules it said anything about emailing for a PIN, and I generally don't do the snail mail request thing. If I can get a NPN PIN by emailing, I'd surely enter this contest!

you snail mail ur requests 1 per envelope and they email you the code. You can't email them and ask for npn that would make the odds pretty low if they did that

I read you have 60 seconds after winning the prize to answer the STQ for the t-shirt. Do they give you 60 seconds for the sweatshirt and bar stools as well, or will they email or call you for these? If not, are the STQ to all 3 prizes the same? What's the answer?

I want to know so I can confirm my answer if I happen to win. I'm afraid I might goof and answer it wrong. Sometimes the addition and division sign looks the same on my screen. I remember I almost messed up on my Motts Fruitsation win because I wasn't sure if it's a addition sign or division sign.

I wouldn't mind goofing up the STQ for the t-shirt but if it's the bar stools, yikes! I'm hoping to win the bar stools.

Also, where to buy Dr. Pepper with the pins for this contest? I looked for it at No Frills and can't find any. It would be cheaper to buy the drinks than sending for NPN codes. I did send for some NPN codes, hopefully it'll arrive this week.

Anyone having problem confirming registration? I clicked on the link they sent in email to confirm registration and page says it's experiencing technical difficulty? I was able to enter a NPN (losing one ) and able to put an item in the chill room.

I also tried being logged on before clicking the link, still same message.

I think maybe because I had submitted a NPN before confirming registration? Does it matter to confirm registration? I'm going to try again tomorrow, just wondering if it matters.

We have about 40 bottles of DR P in the cold storage room and not a single one of them has the contest on it.

GAHR!!! lol Oh well, we went out of our way to buy them last year and didn't get a thing.
